Where are the ingredients sourced from?
We source ingredients from North America and Europe whenever possible and only use the highest quality plant-based food that has been certified USDA Organic. Many of the ingredients are native to South America or Asia and are best grown there. Others are seasonal and better quality ingredients can be found in other parts of the world depending on the time of year.
Where is this product made?
All of Ora Organic’s products (including this one) are made in Southern California, USA in USDA Organic certified facilities.
I see this product contains barleygrass and wheatgrass. Do barleygrass and wheatgrass contain gluten?
Our greens do contain both barley grass juice powder and wheatgrass juice powder. The key here is that we’ve only used the grass component of both the barley and the wheat: gluten is only found within the seed kernels of these species. For additional peace of mind this product has been third party tested and was determined to be gluten free.
Organic Alfalfa Leaf Powder
Alfalfa leaf has an extensive root system that allows it to absorb nutrients deep in the earth. It boasts essential vitamins including the entire spectrum of B-vitamins, A, D, E and K as well as iron, calcium, biotin, folic acid and more.
Organic Barley Grass Juice Powder
The young soft green shoots which crop up on the Barley plant are known as Barley Grass. Popular among the ancient Greeks and Romans for its nutrient-dense profile, this green grass is plentiful in antioxidants and its alkaline nature helps protect against excess acidity in the body.
Brassica Oleracea Var. Italica
Broccoli is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin C, chromium, and folate, as well as a great source of dietary fiber.
Brassica Oleracea Var. Capitata
This leafy veggie is an abundant source of vitamin C, fiber and beta-carotene. As with all cruciferous vegetables, cabbage is also a great source of minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium
Chlorella contains high levels of chlorophyll, and more than 20 vitamins and minerals including iron, calcium and potassium.
Organic Dandelion Leaf
Dandelion leaf is a great source of fiber as well as being high in calcium and vitamin C. It's even used for acne treatments due to it being a good detoxifier, diuretic, stimulant and antioxidant.
Dulse is a form red algae that is quite similar to seaweed, though it is higher in both fiber and protein. It's also a great source of Iron, Magnesium, and Calcium; nutrients essential to good bone health.

Green bell peppers are the unripened version of their colorful red and orange counterparts. 1 cup of these peppers can provide around 10% of your daily fiber intake and 125% of your daily recommended vitamin C intake - but don't worry, a little extra doesn't hurt!
Brassica oleracea var. sabellica
Kale is a great detoxifier, and helps to regulate blood glucose levels. It's also an excellent source of protein and essential vitamins.
Citrus × limon
Lemon is a great source of Vitamin C, but has also been recently found to help with suppressing weight gain due to the high number of polyphenol antioxidants in them.
Monk Fruit has been used for centuries in traditional eastern medicine for its high antioxidant properties and for its naturally occurring sweetness - a great sugarfree alternative, and no stevia aftertaste!
Organic Oat Grass Powder
Oat grass joins wheatgrass and barley grass as part of the cereal grass family. Rich in chlorophyll, beta-carotene, vitamins K and C, folic acid, calcium, iron, protein, fiber, and B vitamins, extracts of Oat Grass could even improve cognitive performance, according to a study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
You probably know it already, but Oranges are a great source of Vitamin C. Our products use orange in a natural whole food form, meaning bioavailability and absorption is much higher than synthetic ascorbic acid.
