Where are the ingredients sourced from?
We source ingredients from North America and Europe whenever possible and only use the highest quality plant-based food that has been certified USDA Organic. Many of the ingredients are native to South America or Asia and are best grown there. Others are seasonal and better quality ingredients can be found in other parts of the world depending on the time of year.
Why should I take Apple Cider Vinegar?
Apple cider vinegar has a laundry list of benefits to its name. Weight management (by increasing your satiety) and diabetes management (by lowering blood sugar levels) are among the most studied. Vinegar can also fight infections, both bacterial and viral. Overall, it's is one of the most holistic supplements you can include in your diet.
Who shouldn't take Apple Cider Vinegar?
Folks who have been diagnosed with gastroparesis should consult their doctor before taking an apple cider vinegar supplement. ACV can delay stomach emptying. For people with an already slow digestive tract, ACV can slow digestive motility even further.
While apple cider vinegar has been shown to lower and regulate blood sugar levels, diabetics who are already taking blood sugar medication should consult their doctor before adding a vinegar tablet into their regimen.
Safe for pregnancy?
While there are no studies that explicitly warn against the use of apple cider vinegar during pregnancy, there is also an insufficient amount of evidence to recommend it.
For that reason, pregnant women should consult their doctor before taking apple cider vinegar tablets. However, it’s suggested that ACV can promote a healthy pregnancy by providing an antimicrobial environment for the fetus. It may also ease acid reflux in pregnant mothers.
Safe for breastfeeding?
ACV may help aid digestion, ease bloating, and support weight loss.* However, while there are no studies that explicitly warn against the use of apple cider vinegar during breastfeeding, there is also an insufficient amount of evidence to recommend it. For that reason, breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking apple cider vinegar tablets.
Safe for kids?
We always recommend that you consult your doctor before making ACV a staple in your child’s routine. However, apple cider vinegar can offer a wealth of benefits for kiddos. Primarily, ACV can help boost the immune system by fighting off infections, specifically yeast infections, and helping to fend off colds. ACV can also provide a boost of essential minerals, helping to supplement your little one’s diet.
How big are the tablets?
We’ve created our ACV tablets to be an easy addition to your diet and daily routine. We hate the feeling of swallowing horse pills, so we’ve made these tablets smaller than an Advil and easy for a kiddo to swallow. However, if you’d rather not swallow pills, our ACV tablets dissolve well in hot tea and can also be blended into your favorite smoothie.
Will this make me lose weight?
Science backs the ability of apple cider vinegar to support weight loss. Alongside a conscious diet, ACV can do this in a few different ways. Primarily, ACV slows gastric emptying, which means your digestion slows and you feel fuller longer. This can lead to a reduced calorie intake and, ultimately, weight loss. ACV has also been shown to reduce overall body fat percentage, specifically burning belly fat.
Is there a benefit to taking tablets over drinking ACV?
Apple cider vinegar is incredibly acidic and, when taken in its liquid form, can decay the enamel on your teeth.
At its most concentrated liquid form (and if misused or overused), apple cider vinegar could burn the inside of your mouth and esophagus. The potency of ACV is what makes it so effective as a supplement. However, it can be quite damaging to drink it straight. Taking your apple cider vinegar in a tablet form may help reduce the risk of experiencing these side effects.
Is this apple cider vinegar pasteurized and filtered?
Yes, our ACV tablets are pasteurized and filtered. This process ensures the safest apple cider vinegar for you and your family.
Does your ACV tablet contain the “mother”?
Because we’ve chosen to pasteurize and filter our apple cider vinegar (in order to produce the safest product), the “mother” is likely filtered out of our final product. When it comes to vinegar, the “mother” refers to the strands of enzymes and bacteria that give unfiltered vinegar their murky appearance. However, apple cider vinegar with “mother” are often unpasteurized, which brings a much higher chance of contracting a foodborne illness.
Are there any side effects?
Because apple cider vinegar may slow the emptying of your stomach, some people can experience bloating, gas, or constipation. Make sure to consult your doctor before making apple cider vinegar a part of your daily routine.
