  • Overview
  • Aloe Gorgeous is an Organic and Vegan Collagen-boosting Powder packed with aloe vera, protein, silica, and vitamins C and E. If collagen were a vanilla-flavored cocktail, these would be the ingredients that would help you create it (and your body would be the mixer)!

Yes, it’s not actual collagen powder, but something far better - for you, and the Earth. It’s an organic blend of real plant extracts formulated to help boost your body’s production of Collagen - no animal collagen required!

    The Problem with Collagen:

Collagen Powder typically comes from the skin and connective tissues of cows (and fish in the case of marine collagen). However, ingesting another animal’s collagen doesn’t guarantee your body will be able to use it.

The reason for this is simple, ‘collagen in’ doesn’t equal ‘collagen out’. Your body needs the right amino acids, vitamins, polysaccharides and nutrients to create collagen that will affect your joints and skin.

While some of those nutrients are contained in animal collagen, not all of them are, meaning your body will have to reroute vitamins and minerals from elsewhere to help you create collagen.

Aloe Gorgeous was created as a superior alternative to animal-based collagen. Geek out with us on the science behind this product in the next tab over: ‘What does it do?’ (and learn some seriously long words).

Product details: Vanilla Flavor, 20 Servings, Net Wt. 240g.

  • What does it do?
  • Aloe Vera:

If you’ve ever had a nasty sunburn before, you’ve probably felt the cool, soothing properties of Aloe Vera gel on your skin. Aloe Vera has even been shown to improve the appearance of facial wrinkles and skin elasticity.[1

The reason it’s so helpful to your skin? Aloe Vera is a polysaccharide and polysaccharides play a role in bringing together amino acids to help produce collagen.[2

Collagen is formed in strands (assemblies) and studies show polysaccharides can potentially help create larger, stronger collagen assemblies - think of it as scaffolding to help quickly build longer, stronger collagen strands.[3]

    Pea Protein:

Amino acids are essential to collagen production and come from protein. We’ve included 3g of organic pea protein in every serving because it’s naturally high in Lysine - an essential amino acid used in the creation of collagen.[4]

    Silica from Bamboo:

Silica is a natural compound made of two of the earth’s most abundant materials: silicon (Si) and oxygen (O2). There are two types, one used for industrial purposes, and the other used in food (like what we have here).

Silicon can be found in your skin and is associated with the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, a group of compounds which deal with the support and maintenance of skin and hair structural proteins such as collagen and elastin.[5]

Silica deficiency decreases the amount of collagen found in the body[6] and often leads to brittle nails, while hair strands with higher Silicon content tend to have a lower falling rate and higher brightness.[5]

    Vitamin C from Acerola Cherry:

Vitamin C does so much more than just support your immune system! Vitamin C regulates the synthesis of collagen and is essential in the hydroxylation of collagen molecules. Hydroxylation is a natural chemical process that helps support the structure of collagen and allows it to support your skin.[7]

    Vitamin E from Sunflower:

Vitamin E is used in many topical skin products, but ingesting it has been shown to help protect against collagen cross-linking and lipid peroxidation - chemical events in the body that are both linked to the aging of the skin.[8]

  • Directions
  • We recommend adding one scoop of Aloe Gorgeous to your favorite smoothie, plant-based milk, or a warm (but not too hot) coffee and other drinks. Then just stir, shake or blend thoroughly.

Aloe Gorgeous has a subtle vanilla flavor that won’t overpower your smoothie or your food. It’s flavor is more of a ‘supporting act’ and is best when added to other smoothies or drinks rather than mixed with water on its own.
