Sometimes you just need the perfect (vegan) coffee smoothie.

For your hour of need, we give you this recipe: a healthy coffee-infused Nutella protein shake.

Imagine if cold brew and Nutella had a baby–that baby would be this glass of chocolatey deliciousness. (Except this shake is dairy-free and low in sugar.)

Don’t just take our word for it, though. Give this baby a whirl the next time you need a little extra oomph.

Warning, this shake may cause the following side effect: superhuman abilities.

Create

  • 1 large ripe banana
  • ¼ cup hazelnuts (soaked in room-temperature water overnight and drained)
  • ½ cup coffee
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • 2 scoops vegan chocolate protein powder

Directions

  1. Add to blender.
  2. Blend till smooth and creamy.
