What form does the omega-3 come in and how do I use it?
The omega-3 is a liquid and comes in a spray bottle (to prevent oxidation). Spray directly into the mouth by pressing down on the bottle top (making sure the nozzle is directed correctly) or spray onto food or beverages.
What’s the best time of day to take the product?
Omega-3 can be taken at anytime of day.
How should I store the product?
Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture, sunlight and fluctuations in temperature. Use within 45 days of opening. Refrigeration is A-OK if you prefer it chilled.
What’s the serving size?
The serving size is 2 mL or about 12 sprays. We suggest taking bursts of 6 sprays twice a day.
How many servings does this contain?
There are 30 servings (60 mL) per bottle.

Why should I take omega-3?
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential to brain, eye and heart health and is especially crucial for pregnant women and young children as it plays a key role in proper brain and eye development. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center:
“Research shows that omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation and may help lower risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and arthritis. Omega-3 fatty acids are highly concentrated in the brain and appear to be important for cognitive (brain memory and performance) and behavioral function. In fact, infants who do not get enough omega-3 fatty acids from their mothers during pregnancy are at risk for developing vision and nerve problems. Symptoms of omega-3 fatty acid deficiency include fatigue, poor memory, dry skin, heart problems, mood swings or depression, and poor circulation.”1
Why is DHA so important compared to the other forms of omega-3 (EPA and ALA)?
There are several forms of omega-3 and they are not all created equal. The brain is made up of 60% fat with the largest portion coming in the form of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)1. DHA is what the brain uses and is what has been studied most for beneficial brain, eye and heart health.
Why are marine sources of omega-3 better than land based sources (e.g. flaxseed, rapeseed, chia and walnut oils)?
Omega-3 from marine based sources (e.g. algae, fish & krill) are high in DHA content. Land based sources like flaxseed and chia do not contain much or any DHA. Instead, they contain ALA omega-3 (α-linolenic acid). Research has shown only 3-5% of ALA gets converted into DHA1 which is the form our bodies readily use.
Why is algae omega-3 better than fish or krill oil?
Algae is a more sustainable and more pure form of omega-3 than fish and krill oil. Our algae is grown in pristine waters outside of the oceans, making it free of PCBs, heavy metals, synthetic pesticides and other chemical pollutants that contaminate our waters today. In addition, experts say that we could be facing fishless oceans in the next 40 years with increased overfishing and climate change decimating the ocean ecosystem. Fish and krill aren’t born with omega-3, they get it from their diet by eating algae. Choosing algae oil means you’re going straight to the source and supporting a sustainable product that doesn’t harm our fragile ocean ecosystem.
Why isn’t the omega-3 USDA Organic?
Currently the USDA does not have an organic designation for marine based omega-3 products. We are working on this and look forward to releasing the first marine based omega-3 USDA organic product soon! Stay tuned!
