Spice up yo’ life!
This looks like a typical green smoothie, but with much more, well, spice. You’ll still satisfy your morning smoothie craving all the while tailoring it to the fall and winter season. Eating and drinking foods that are warm in temperate aid in digestion and help to balance the colder fall and winter months. Spices also bring up the temperature and energy of a food, making it perfect to have at breakfast when you’re beginning the day. Within the smoothie, the warming quality of the spices is balanced by the coolness of the fruit. Basically, it’s a perfectly balanced way to get a zap of energy in the morning without making a laborious meal. (And, it’s not something you’d typically see at your local smoothie joint!)
